Holy Heavenly Lake Annual Summer Event – June 3 - 4
The 2025 Holy Heavenly Lake Buddhist Town annual summer event will be held on June 3–4! This year, we will feature an exciting lineup of activities including a camping bonfire party, outdoor meditation session, a Wiser friendship tournament, an outdoor bazaar raffle, panel discussions and exhibitions, and the release of lotus wish lanterns. Holy Heavenly Lake Wiser Friendship Tournament
The Holy Heavenly Lake Wiser Friendship Tournament, organized by the North American Wiser Ball Association (NAWA), will open registration on March 1. Participation is limited to 8 teams. A training field will also be provided. The aim is to foster friendship through the game, strengthen bonds, promote physical fitness, advance Wiser game in the world, and promote friendship and world peace.
Exhibition & Presentations
In addition to the exhibition of the Buddhist Town planning, four presentations and discussion sessions are planned. The panel discussions include the promotion of Buddhist youth alliance, promoting community service works, and strengthening self-learning and social welfare as key benchmarks! This is a platform provided for everyone to come and host discussions. We warmly invite you to register, share your experiences, collaborate for mutual development, and engage in a global exchange of ideas to promote true Dharma study and benefit all beings.
2025 Gathering & Activities
March 23, 2025 (Sunday) – Spring Landscape Maintenance Activity
On the morning of Sunday, March 23, a gathering at the Holy Heavenly Lake will participate in landscape maintenance activities, weeding, and fertilizing. Lunch will be provided at 11:00 AM, followed by a Wiser game and a referee training session. Everyone is invited to join!
May 25, 2025 (Sunday) – Lotus Pond Cultivation Activity
This year, a lotus cultivation pond will be set up next to the lake. On May 25, we will come together to learn about and cultivate lotus flowers. After lunch, there will be a Wiser game. We welcome everyone to participate and lend a hand!
United Service Center: Visit Central and Northern California, June 5 - 6
In order to assist with local travel arrangements for visitors to the United States, several enthusiastic volunteers from Buddhist Town established a United Service Center to help provide necessary information and services. In 2025, we are arranging a trip to visit the Vajra Throne Temple in Sanger, and the San Francisco Temples, as well as participation in the International Art Museum of America’s Members' Gathering, with free access to the Treasure Room. The group will depart from Pasadena at 8:30am, June 5, and return to LA the next evening. There will be a stopover at the San Francisco International Airport.
